Business Start-Up Pt 2

Welcome to So.savbeauty. If you are new here, in a previous post I went through how to start your own online business. If you’ve seen that post, I hope you were satisfied, and here I'm going to go over the real and the raw behind analytics and how to read/increase them, SEO as well as creating your marketing plan.
I don’t like to play around like that so I always tap right into what it is you guys need.
With that being said first off, I would like to Go over analytics in general, and just explain the basics of what you need to know.
Analytics are essentially the reports you get back on your website / YouTube page / Instagram and Facebook business accounts, etc.
It entails your view count to your page, the engagement you are getting, and how, track your sales and overall history/activity of your account.
The analytics are going to be your best friend when it comes to managing your business, as that will tell you everything you need to know, such as what you are doing good on, things you need to work on, and help you create your future growth plans overall.
Every website platform has its own way of tracking the data that goes into your website, it is your job to learn what that is by spending the time and really getting to know your platform + the things you can do with it, you’ll honestly be amazed, it's just so much that you can do, you would never even think of unless you’re shown, and that’s one of the reasons I’m doing this. Also, YouTube is like 1 huge teaching platform, you can literally learn anything in a matter of days, so if you get confused or don’t understand something, always do your research!
At the end of the day $#it doesn’t work unless you do baby.
Now, if you’re looking to increase the data you already have, you need to take a really good look at what is already there and compare it to previous months and strategies you’ve used, if you don’t know any hang tight I’m getting to that.
Like I was saying about those results you are comparing, that will give you a good idea of what has really worked before, so you can transfer that into new plans and opt-out the ones that haven’t worked out so well.
This brings us to creating the marketing plan or figuring out a strategy for the first time, take into consideration; algorithms, trends, what people want/need, and what they are looking for. Look for ways to insert this into your plan. Start with something basic and easy to follow, a routine to 1) Get your business out there, and 2) Provide service/benefit to attract people to your business and keep them for the long run.
Don’t spend too much time on social media posts although stay consistent with them and provide what your customer base wants whether it be more entertaining content or educational. Remember people are always looking for something, and if you provide nothing, expect nothing.
What you really should spend a lot of time on is the value you bring to your customer base whether it is in posts, services, or products, keeping up to date and knowing what they want is crucial, So always engage with your customers/clients ask them questions, also follow up and listen. Once you get a solid customer base they will definitely help guide you in the right direction too, if you listen and pay attention to your data and their voice as well.
If you are staying consistent with putting your business out there in ways that benefit your customers, this will help you grow your engagement which grows your analytics and potentially leads to more sales, you should underpromise and over-provide.
In this day in age social media is a HUGE backbone for a lot of companies, definitely take advantage of the free advertising tools you already have such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Linkedin, Reddit, the list goes on.
You don’t want to overwhelm yourself though, so choose at least 2 accounts to promote from and have consistent and updated posting plans. Collaborations are good and do help but don’t be too hungry about that, take it if it comes, but remember you’re creating a brand that represents you so definitely choose carefully who you do that with.
The last tip for creating a marketing plan, Do Not Be “Salesy” Provide benefits and Education!
Moving on to the last point; SEO/Google Ranking.
So this is how your website shows up on google, how easy it is for people to find you and how google knows who to suggest your page to.
Most website platforms have an SEO section built-in with checklists to help you achieve, hold and maintain your Google ranking. WIX.COM makes this very easy.
If you’re still having trouble you can connect your website to your Google account and it will track + help you from there. The good thing about Google is it gives you personalized step-by-step as well as more in-depth guides on what you need to do to improve your ranking and get seen on google, here is a link to help you understand SEO from googles point of view https://developers.google.com/search/docs/beginner/seo-starter-guide
